A hit-and-run at a Queens bus stop injured four people on Saturday, including a child.
The victims were waiting for a bus in Sunnyside at Northern Boulevard and 48th Street when a white Mazda drove into them and fled. The four injured pedestrians were taken to Elmhurst Hospital and are expected to survive.
Police have recovered the Mazda involved in the pedestrian crash, but are still searching for the driver.
This Queens hit-and-run continues a deluge of pedestrian collisions across New York City. This year has started off poorly, as January had a frightening number of fatal accidents. If the trend continues, 2014 will easily break the record for most pedestrian/cyclist deaths.
If you or a loved one has been injured by a motor vehicle in NYC, it is important to explore all avenues of compensation. Do not agree to an insurance offer before speaking with an experienced auto accident attorney.
