The Brooklyn intersection of Atlantic Ave and Hicks St. was the site of a terrifying school bus crash that left four people hospitalized last week.
The accident occurred when a yellow school bus crashed into another vehicle and tipped onto its side before colliding with a pickup truck. The bus driver and an adult passenger were injured. Two other motorists suffered injuries, including a Long Island physician. All injury victims were taken to Kings County Hospital.
If there’s any silver lining, it’s that none of the injuries were considered life-threatening and that no children were harmed. However, it is troubling that the school bus driver appears to be at fault in this NYC accident.
Without more details, it’s impossible to know what caused the bus accident. Inattentive driving, a medical condition or a school bus defect are just a few of the factors that could have been involved.
Aside from the police report, an experienced New York City bus accident attorney can help victims by investigating a crash and gathering evidence. To discuss your right to bring an injury claim, contact a skilled lawyer today.
