A rash of accidents in the Bronx and Brooklyn recently sent four pedestrians to the hospital. The collisions continue the onslaught of pedestrian accidents in New York City this summer.
In Brooklyn, a 43-year-old man was hit by an automobile in the crosswalk at Nostrand Ave. and Ave. W. Knocked unconscious, the victim was taken to Coney Island Hospital.
Also in Brooklyn, a woman was injured in South Slope when a vehicle hit her while she crossed 4th Ave. and 17th Street. She was taken to Lutheran Medical Center for treatment.
Two people were injured in the Bronx at 141st St. and Alexander Ave. when a vehicle hit them. One of the victims was bleeding profusely as they were both transported to Lincoln Medical Center.
All three pedestrian accidents occurred within roughly 90 minutes of each other.
