A 25-year-old male was seriously injured in Brooklyn on Tuesday night, after a car hit him and fled the scene. The pedestrian collision occurred in Flatbush at the corner of Ocean Parkway and Foster Avenue. The victim was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.
Police apprehended the suspected driver after receiving helpful tips from witnesses. New York policemen caught up with the alleged hit-and-run driver on Ocean Parkway, six blocks away from the accident scene.
Hopefully, the seriously injured pedestrian makes a full recovery and holds the negligent driver accountable for the harm he's caused. The driver is facing criminal charges, but that action won't compensate the victim. A NY injury lawsuit is the instrument that allows a victim to recover money damages from the at-fault party.
