A 2-year-old boy will never be the same after a Brooklyn pedestrian crash on Saturday. The boy’s family members stated that he suffered serious head trauma and will probably remain brain-dead for his entire life. His mother was also severely hurt and remains hospitalized in a semi-comatose state.
The pedestrian collision occurred in East Flatbush, at the corner of Utica and Church Avenues. A Lincoln sedan jumped the curb and barreled into a bus stop, sending at least four people to the hospital.
This is the latest in a deadly string of fatal pedestrian collisions in New York City. This crash is a bit different: the driver said that her brakes failed. If this proves true, her mechanic could potentially share liability for the accident. The bus-stop crash will require an investigation to determine all at-fault parties involved.
If you or a family member has been seriously hurt by a negligent New York driver, contact a skilled NYC pedestrian accident attorney to discuss your legal options.
